Special delivery for The River Food Pantry from NGL Customer Support team

National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) Customer Support team decided to take action and create 10 care packages to donate to The River Food Pantry.

Madison, Wis. - Wanting to give back and spread holiday cheer, a National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) Customer Support team decided to take action and create 10 care packages to donate to The River Food Pantry.

"It was the team's idea to give back and help people in our community. Everyone on the team donated money and thought of items they wanted to include in the care package," shared Carrie Schable, customer service supervisor.

"Making a donation is something that we wanted to do as a team. This is the time of year when everyone is reflecting on the past year and hoping for a better year to come. For someone who is struggling, we wanted them to know that someone does care for them and thought about them this holiday season," said Danielle Lee, account coordinator.

Items in the care package include a hat, gloves, blanket, hand sanitizer, lotion, tissues and a tube of chapstick.

"As we get older, we realize that the holidays aren't just about us. There are people who are in need in our community. It is inspiring and it makes us feel happy and excited knowing that we can help others," said Paul Bennett, senior account coordinator.

"We hope to motivate and encourage others to give back," said Kay Spencer, senior account coordinator. "There was a time when my family didn't have anything for Christmas. For us, we were fortunate to have each other and it was important for us to be together as that was all we had. Now, I'm lucky to be able to offer this care package and provide hope to someone who is struggling."

In addition to the Customer Support team gift, NGL has been a proud corporate supporter of The River Food Pantry since 2013.
