Nominations now open for the third annual NFDA Inspiration Award

NGL sponsors award celebrating distinguished woman who makes meaningful contributions to funeral service profession

Understanding the deep value and meaningful contributions women make to the funeral service profession, National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL) is pleased to once again sponsor National Funeral Directors Association’s (NFDA) third annual Inspiration Award.

Nominations are now open with NFDA accepting submissions through February 17 in recognition of an exceptional woman who has made noteworthy professional contributions to the funeral service industry or related fields. 

“It is a privilege to support this initiative and celebrate the exceptional women who are making a profound impact in the funeral service profession. This award not only recognizes their passion, leadership and dedication, but also inspires future generations to continue breaking barriers and make a lasting difference in the profession,” said Jennifer Kaset, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at NGL.

The 2025 Inspiration Award recipient will be announced during the 2025 Professional Women’s Conference in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, from May 15-18.  

Last year, Kaset had the honor of presenting the 2024 NFDA Inspiration Award to Leili McMurrough, President and Program Director for Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chair of the American Board of Funeral Service Education, licensed funeral director and embalmer, as well as licensed attorney.
