Peter Gunder appointed to Board of Directors for National Guardian Life Insurance Company

National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL), a Madison-based life insurance company is pleased to announce that Peter Gunder is appointed to its Board of Directors.

His expertise in insurance, financial investments, customer-centered risk management and social impact will provide valuable strategy and operations perspective for NGL as we look toward the future,” shared Knut A. Olson, NGL President & CEO.

 “I very much look forward to serving all the stakeholders of National Guardian Life Insurance Company and its affiliates. From 2008 to July 2020, I served in multiple roles on the senior executive team at American Family Insurance Group, including Executive Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer and Chief Investment Officer. I helped American Family’s CEO launch the American Family Insurance Institute for Corporate and Social Impact, an early stage social impact venture fund, benefitting the citizens of Madison and communities across the United States,” said Gunder.

Gunder is an Executive in Residence at the Columbia University School of Professional Studies. He is on the Board of Directors for Clearcover Insurance Company, located in Chicago. Additionally, he serves as a volunteer for Creative Destruction Lab and mentor at gener8tor.
