Where Innovation Meets Inspiration, Collaboration and Connection

Another successful National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) convention has wrapped, and we are so grateful for all the connections we’ve made. As the Medallion sponsor of the 2025 convention in Chicago, we want to share a few of our favorite moments.

It all started with Cameron Black, NGL’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, seated on a panel at the Future of Deathcare Summit on Saturday. Cameron shared his insights on technology usage from a carrier’s perspective and how it shapes what we do. 

On Sunday, our team hit the links at the Funeral Service Foundation’s Golf Classic. NGL is proud to sponsor this event for Funeral Service Foundation whose mission is to uplift grieving communities by investing in people and programs that strengthen funeral service.

Sunday night was NFDA’s ReConnect, a networking event for women in deathcare. We laughed, we cried and we were all inspired by the amazing accomplishments the women shared with us. We even got a little moresparkle in our lives with s ome permanent jewelry. Jennifer Kaset, NGL’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development, shared opening remarks and helped hand out fabulous door prizes.

To cap the night off, we headed to NFDA’s welcome party at the iconic House of Blues. We took a step back into the roaring ’20s and danced with flappers, enjoyed signature cocktails, ate scrumptious appetizers and had our fortunes read.

On Monday, Cameron Black introduced opening keynote speaker Felipe Gomez, who is a professional piano player and motivational speaker. He asked us to think about the music we project into the world and how it affects our relationship with others. We even had a singalong! Afterward, he greeted NFDA attendees at the NGL booth and signed copies of his book.

Elsewhere on the show floor, attendees cut loose on our giant floor piano and created music of their own while unleashing their inner Tom Hanks from Big. Felipe even took a stab at it!

But what brings us the most happiness is reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones in our booth. Paraphrasing the words of Inspiration Award winner Katey Houston from our ReConnect event, we are because you are.
